Jalebi

Today we want to present a very special report about of the most important music bands who work & serve in VRINDA: Jalebi.
Composed mainly by disciples of His Divine Grace Srila Bhakti Vaibhav Puri Maharaj, these vaishnavas from Italy are making a very nice seva for the mission a the world.
Here some words of their members:

KALEIDOSCOPE

is the second CD of Jalebi..

the band is :

Mirabai : lead vocals
Ramananda Roy : bass guitar, keyboards, programming
Yasoda Nandana : guitar, loops, grooves

…and also many others artists and friends have joined us for this project from all over the world.. There's the singing and some rap-recitation by Sripad BV Tapasvi Maharaja recorded in the Eco Truly Park in Lima, Peru. There's Ranga, who is a vedic chanting student in Vrindavana India. There's Yoga Maya, Vedic singer from Peru, and Agnese Bonati, another amazing singer from Italy.

Another important contribution was from Hridaya Chaitanya from Rome, Italy, who is an expert of the different kinds of electronic dance music. He acted, in this project, as a "techno counselor".

Last but not least, in this CD there are voices and mantras from Srila Bhakti Vaibhava Puri Maharaja & Srila Bhakti Ballabha Tirtha Maharajá.

So we are very happy of this project, we did choose to make something more experimental than the first CD, and we hope that all of you like it as we like it..
The graphics were, practically speaking, a jointed effort of all Vrinda Centro Italia, with Sanatani, Purnima, Hridaya Chaitanya, Rasa Lila, etc.

....And from May 2009, Jalebi has a new work-studio nearby the Vrinda center in Terni of Sanatani and Ramananda Roy. This house is in Colli sul Velino, a beautiful village in Lazio (the region of Rome) near the sacred mount "Terminillo"...

We are still setting up all the equipments... it is a very quiet and silent place, and we plan to make many recordings outside the studio, using the natural reverbs of the various places. With the modern technology it is very easy to record a voice, or an instrument in a natural environment, or in an ancient church or archeologic site, instead of in the aseptic atmosphere of the studio..

Madhusudan Maharaj´s new poetry book

Seva Svarup prabhu´s great Seva

Here we want to present you one of the many devotees of the mission who made and is making very special services. In this case, Seva Svarup prabhu from Peru, brother of Sripad Bv Kesava Maharaj, have worked for long time with the arcitecture asect of the mission, mainly regarding the famous Trulys.

"I’m just a GM’s humble servant, indeed I can mention something about my little service to Your Lordships and our beloved Guru Maharaja and Gurudeva Atulananda.
I’ve officially participated as a pioneer on the first trulys construction at “Chacra y Mar” as the bathroom truly and the vaikuntha ashrama, I’ve also cooperated with the Diaguitas’ Truly construction in Chile at “valle de la Serena”, at “Cajon del Maipo” two trulys were built and finally I’ve worked for some devotees’ ecologists friends at Papudo city.
I’ve also put some of my ego in Argentina J, helping the devotees on the construction of the truly, now I’m here in Peru at Cuzco helping the devotees on the temple’s construction for Your Lordships.

Intense preaching days in Argentina Yatra

Dear devotees & friends: We want to share some pictures from last days´ preaching in Argentina, and at the same time presenting some new preaching programmes in the Yatra...

Many friends and devotees attended the event, and chanted the deep bhajans.

On saturday, the matajis made a nice harinam and went to a new programme...

In Gopal Vishnupriya Ashram, where many matajis had the chance to join in sadhu sanga & glorify the Lord of the Mandir...

More than 20 devotees went together on the father´s day in Argentina, and told everyone about the news of the Supreme Pita -father-, Lord Paramesvara. :)

The sound of the mantra and the joy of kirtan was listened in 2 of the main squares of Buenos Aires.

After Sunday, on Monday a new programme and harinama sankirtana was held in the town of Merlo.

Krsna-katha & sadhu sanga in "Dharma", hindu boutique gave by a friend for trascendental preaching purposes...

Alanath

We want to present you "Alanath", the trascendental musical band leaded by Sripad Bhaktivedanta Managal Maharaj. Here a brief report and words from Maharaj on the group...


"Alanath´s project is a band formed in April 2009 by composer and vocalist Mangala Swami and a flow of different friends that come to the band, among whom Juliano Vendemiatti, Italo Lencker, Kumara vani, Ishana das, Vishnujan das , Gepe among others stand out.

The band emerged naturally when it was noticed that on each Guru and beloved devotee’s anniversary, spontaneous offerings manifested by way of songs. This way the need to share this feeling and record the songs came up, which gave birth to “Alanath” band, since this name condensed all what was experienced at the Brasil Yatra in a very special way, that is to say, the effort of the devotees to serve their beloved Gurus and vaishnavas moved by the sweet recollection of their pastimes, as Srila Paramadvaiti Swami current pastimes who in his brahmacary´s times received the mission to spread Krishna consciousness in Brasil as his “prabhu datta desh” on behalf of his guru (master) Srila Prabhupada, doing a dynamic and great enthusiasm´s revolution opening up various ashrams on different cities of Brazil, then pleasing his spiritual master.

With this spiritual revolution’s spirit and desire to change the world by helping all the suffering souls with the spiritual messages and vegetarian projects (Spoon Revolution), conscious art and much more, in which the Alanath band takes inspiration and does the offering attempt with his first album ´´prabhu datta desh´´.

Arequipa Mandir Report



These days we received an exciting report fro Arequipa Mandir, made by Radhanath prabhu, temple president there. Here for you...

"Arequipa Mandir is a family above all, composed by the brahmacaris, brahmacarinis, devotees living in their homes who carry out their services from there and also they conduct programs from there, grihastas that support the programs each one of them to the best of their possibilities and of course the kids, whom have turned the monthly kids programs’ inspiration, with puppets show, hindu dancing, gifts, competitions and games.

Many devotees are projects’ leaders, for e.g. P Radhesyam and his partner M. Prahlada are in charge of conducting the preaching at the Spoon Revolution, which has had many events (ECO-VEG-FEST), at the temple’s site as well as at the universities, demonstrations around the city with Spoon Revolution sankirtan, costumes, our cow let which has turned into the Soon Revolution icon here. And also every Friday all the preaching is meant for the Spoon Revolution. Doing a monthly schedule for each Friday, be it Vegetarian Cooking Classes, vegetarianism, diet, conscious movie conferences, etc.

The grihastas devotees are also in charge of the programs, for e.g. P. Krsihna Dham is in charge of conducting the temple’s company. M. Vraja Kelly, M. Kalindi, M. Govinda, P. Gopi, P. Paramatma are the coordinators for the Kid’s programs.
M. Karuni is with the House of Wisdom as well as P. Krishna Bhandu. And so may devotees take each other’s inspiration to perform better programs.

There is also the mothers’ program conducted by M. Dhira, whom were able to preach and inspire many mothers, and on Gurumaharaj last visit 4 mothers have taken initiation, becoming a great shelter and support for the mothers in here. They perform programs on Mondays, they organize festivals, go out to harinam, etc.

The Vaisnava Academy is managed by M. Prahlada and there’re being dictated Vegetarian Cooking, Hindu Dancing and Yoga classes.
The temple also has a restaurant managed by P. Sri Gopal and P. Nitay, which turned into a great source of service and preaching, since many people get to know the devotees and the programs through the restaurant.

Your Lordships Sri Sri Goura Nitay are also assisted at the temple.
The Srimad Bhagavatam classes are dictated at 6:00 am, following the inspiration of Maharaj Paramartik it was decided that besides the Srimad Bhagavatam’s reading, to study a different book each day by different devotees, for e.g. Mondays is The Upadesamrita, Tuesdays Istagosthi, Wednesdays GM’s chat, Thursdays Temple President’s Book, Fridays Postman’s Words by Gurudeva Atulananda, Saturdays Gurumaharaj’s Video Conferences and on Sundays the Srimad Bhagavatam.

At 7:00 pm artik and Bhagavad-Gita class is carried out and prasadam is handed out among the guests. Many institutes and college students have come to visit us lately because they are given hindu philosophy or vegetarianism assignments. And the Festivals are on Saturdays, a billboard is made for that month with the Hindu Dance, Yoga, Acting, Kids Program’s presentation, etc.
The last Gurumaharaj’s visit left us all very excited; a conference took place at the Universidad Nacional de San Agustin’s PARANINFO where more than 300 people attended. And Gurudeva displayed his love and mercy all the time towards all his disciples and friends.

Well many devotees get involved in the temple and thanks to them the preaching can take place. Of course, there is always stuff that fails and there’re difficulties, troubles and flaws, but with enthusiasm and with the thought in mind as how to better satisfy our Masters and vaisnavas they can be surmounted. We wish we may be experts in the execution of all these services and that they become stronger. To be able to preach a lot and so this way the program is going to grow much more."

Farewell to Prabhu Radheya
from Srila guru Maharaj

Here we want to share the words sent by our Guru Maharaj, due to the departure of Raheya prabhu:


Radheya has had the good fortune to leave the body on his childhood with the enthusiasm of a devotee. There’s nothing more secure to the spiritual world.

A beautiful child was born and had the chance to have a relationship with Krishna since birth. This is how Radheya’s life has been, the sweet child of his mother Bhakti devi dasi, who also had Svetadvipa das as her protector. A very simple life. He was Santa Marta Visnupriya’s Ashram star.

Radheya had always been a tolerant, kind and natural devotee; I’m delighted for having met him. He acted as Prahlad Maharaj on a play at Varsana few days ago. Our dear Lord Krishna wanted to take him at once.

No more birth on this miserable world of disappointments. No more enviousness and desires to enjoy what’s not ours. He could get out of here as an innocent devotee that had not offended anyone.

Forgive me but I feel enviousness for Radheya, although the world offers us many opportunities to serve, but also disappointments made by grownups and their inability for following their own ideals. Anyway, one must be grateful for everything one has and not complain, not even when such a beautiful soul as Radheya leaves this world. He taught us that death is always waiting around the corner and that we must sustain ourselves without waiting for anybody, just serving as best we can.

Radheya went back to Sri Krishna, he was freed from this world’s ties. His sweetness and the bitterness of not having him with us, will stay for ever in our memories.

Also remembering Madhusudhan Prabhu, Tirtha Maharaj and Srila Harijan Maharaj, who taught us that we are always vulnerable and should not feel safe on the world of maya, where one believes that is better to be alone than with the devotees. Radheya had not had the chance to be in maya, how fortunate.

I say goodbye to Radheya with a big hug from the heart on his little body which remind us about the great vaishnava philosophy: that we are not the body, but eternal souls. So actually, no one was lost.
