Keshi Ghat Continues

This time, it is about an article from Vrindavan Today - which brings you daily news of Braj and Vrindavan Dhams - http://www.news.vrindavantoday.org/

The article written by matajee Gandharvika Devi Dasi, says:
 

Vrindavan, 2011.12.21 (VT): We have posted several albums of pictures this week showing the progress of the work on the channel digging bringing water to Keshi Ghat. You can see them on the Vrindavan Today Google profile.

A machine does the work of many men. It has easily doubled the width of the hand-dug trench.

The widened channel is now only 100 meters away from the pillars of the uncompleted bridge. The hope is that the greater part of the river's flow will be diverted to Keshi Ghat.

About 200 laborers are working every day, and a JCB "mahabali" back hoe machine is also on the job.

We will give an updated report shortly, but I think is a good idea to keep everyone aware of the progress that is being made.

"Save Bhagavat-gita" Action
in Berlin, Germany Yatra

Today we want to share a new photo report published by German devotees and matajees at their Kurukshetra blog http://berlintempel.blogspot.com/  This time, they make us to know about new preaching activities recorded on a video which has been uploaded a video, called "Save the Gita" on Quirio TV.  

The video is a reportage about peaceful demonstration on the recently court case at Siberian Russia of banning Bhagavad Gita.  As Bhagavad Gita is facing a ban in Russia, German devotees headed by Gurudeva took this action in front of the Russian Embassy in Berlin. 

While chanting 'Hare Krishna, Hare Rama' to the sound of drums and cymbals, and holding placards and posters Śrīla Bhakti Aloka Paramadvaiti Mahārāja along with his disciples - devotees and matajees from VRINDA Mission - peacefully demonstrated in front of Russian Embassy in Berlin, Germany Yatra, to protest over Bhagavad Gita ban in Russia.

Today we want to share a new article published in Suena Verdadero blogspot  http://suenaverdadero.blogspot.com/2011/12/meditacion-navidena-nos-aproximamos-una.html  This time, the Editor addresses the topic of Christmas Holiday and how we should be prepared to celebrate it.

The editor says (in Spanish):

We are approaching a very significant date for most people in this world, Christmas. This is a special moment for meetings, joys, gifts, so many feelings that may not commonly occur at other times of year.
....

Try to really celebrate Christmas, try - despite the risk of being the party pooper of the family reunion :) - of giving to others the true "Christmas spirit", a spirit full of giving, where instead of thinking of receive we can want to give, but not to material elements, but to what Christ and all the great teachers have given us - and they still continue giving - a message and example of how to mold our lives according to the will of the Supreme.

To the extent that we can assimilate and share these valuable insights, we can strictly say that we are truly celebrating Christmas.
