Today we wish to share with all of you a report published by matajee Malati Devi Dasi at the Vrinda Czech blog - http://www.vrinda.cz/ This time, she makes us to know about the inspirational thoughts written by Sripad BV Yati Swami as regards the time he decided to become a sannyasi. He says:
Not so long ago we went with Malata Belina at Kuruksetra to a meeting at the facilities of the VWA (World Vaishnava Association) with Maharaja Paramadvati. It's a place symbolically close the Berlin Wall, which is now a memorial monument for the struggle to obtain freedom. We really enjoyed the program and received a lot of inspiration from Maharaj; devotees from Berlin are like our family, we really felt at home there.
That weekend was a very encouraging one; I was spiritually very inspired to improve and develop their services; such as, to improve singing, cooking, taking more harinam, etc. It was getting me new ideas and visions of how to develop a mission in Prague, and cooperate more with the Vaishnavas from all over the world; something that I have intensively tried to deal with during the last five years, because I find it makes great sense.
The last day of our stay in Berlin - at the Gouranga Gandarvika Govindasundara temple - the morning program traditionally started and then it went on a lecture in which Paramadvati Maharaja spoke in such a way about the absolute need to take responsibility for preaching Caitanyia Mahaprabhu' missions to people in our neighborhood, and talking about things that Srila Prabhupada and Srila Sridhar Maharaj put in his heart, in such a way that reminded me of my own inner desire to share the message of Sri Krishna to the most people possible.
During that class, I finally decided to enter into this renounced life and take advantage of my current life, the energy and time I got now and here for this purpose, since I - after years of reflection on this way of life - had realized that now is the right time to do it.
When I was having breakfast Paramadvati Maharaja asked softly about my decision, at first he was surprised and asked again What What What ... sannyasin you want to be? He was very surprised and I also could see that he was very very very pleased and revived the issue. He said he was just floating 10 cm above the ground at knowing about it, which made me happy. Anyway, it was a very exhilarating emotional experience for all people who we were eating.
"Do you want to take Sannyas?" He asked me again, as if by hearing the evidence it assurances of my esteem, so I want to do it, which was something I was thinking about for 15 years. As this response was enough to make it, "okay then", he said "come to Hungary next week for the festival, there are other sannyasins who gave a wide smile".
